Anka Yanka
Anka Yanka is the inexpensive tool to retreive your anchor.
The Anka Yanka is an Alderney Ring which is the traditional name for a buoy and ring anchor retrieval system. It is designed to help you raise an anchor without breaking your back.
The Alderney ring concept works with the ring and Buoy sliding over the anchor line. When you wish to retrieve the anchor, the buoy is pushed over board and you use the engine to motor back toward the point where the anchor lies on the bottom. The anchor line forms a loop with the buoy lying between the boat and anchor. Keep motoring past the anchor point until the anchor line becomes taught. Keep motoring further and the tension in the anchor line pulls the anchor up to the buoy. Now manually pull the anchor line, buoy and anchor back to the boat.
